Commissioned in 1942 as a 2ndLt, US Army Air Corps. Served with First Troop Carrier Command (gliders), then 2nd Air Force training and supporting the B-17 and B-24 aircraft. Stationed at several air bases in continental US and overseas. In the Army of Occupation in Germany, and later in Japan.
Serveral tours of duty in Department of Army. Was in DC as well as extended tour of duty with Joint Chiefs of Staff. Two tours of duty in Vietnam. Retired in 1974 after 33 years of service.
