    WW II Commander, 67th TAC Recon Group, Ninth Air Force. This photo reconnaissance group was the first to photograph the Normandy beachheads before D-Day. Mr. Richard D. Applegate wrote a book, “Peck’s Bad Boys of the 67th Tactical Reconnaissance Group” which was published in early 2004 by PublishAmerica.
