Col Goffi (born 8 April 1932, died 6 December 1999) served in Korea and Vietnam where he was awarded a Purple Heart. He was in the Marine Reserve for 20 years. He had a long and distinguished career with United Airlines. He retired as a Boeing 747 Captain on April 8, 1992. He passed away on December 6, 1999.

"Buzz" loved planes. As a young boy in Massachusetts he visited Logan Airport frequently to watch the airplanes take off and land. From the age of 8 he wanted to be a pilot. We miss him
