    Colonel Crouch was born on May 28, 1940 in Goodland, Kansas. He attended school in Cushing, OK and upon graduation attended the University of Oklahoma. He graduated in 1963 with a BBA Degree. He received his Masters Degree in International Relations from Salve Regina College, and attended the Naval War College, where he graduated with highest distinction. In addition, he attended an 8-week course at Harvard University for Senior Officials in National Security.
    He has flown 411 combat missions in the A-4 Skyhawk. He has been awarded two Legion of Merits; the E distinguished Flying Cross; the Meritorious Service Medal; the Air Medal with numeral twenty six; the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat "V"; the Combat Action Ribbon; two Presidential Unit Citations; two Navy Unit Commendations; two National Defense Service Medals; five Vietnamese Service Medals; the Vietnamese Presidential Unit Citation with Palm; the Vietnam Civil Action Unit Citation with Palm; and the Vietnamese Campaign Medal.
    Colonel Crouch retired from the Marine Corps in 1993. He is married to the former Dianne Morey of Albuquerque, NM. They have 3 daughters, Ceanne, Cynthia, and Chryssa.
