    Honored by:
    Mr. Robert C. Bogert

Colonel Bogert was known as "Bog" to his numerous friends and associates. He earned his "wings" at Ellington Field, Texas in 1917, graduated from the McCook Field Engineering School in the 20's, and later received a BS in Aero Engineering from MIT. With many thousands of hours of flying, he spent much of his career at Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio where he guided the development of many famous aircraft. Among those were the B-19, B-24, B-17, B-29, B-32 and B-25 Bombers, and Fighter Aircraft P-51, P-38 and the first jet fighter, the P-80. He is one of the founder members of the "Order of Daedalians." As a good friend, he was respected by most of the leaders of our aviation industry in the years 1925-1955.
