    Honored by:
    Ms. Judith S. Chapman

Col. Chapman served his country in the U.S Air Force for thirty years from 1968 – 1998, and accumulated 2900 hours of flying time. Col. Chapman flew as a forward air controller (OV-10) in Vietnam, providing air cover support for our troops in the war.
He trained pilot candidates in high performance aircraft (T-38) and spent ten years in Europe as a fighter pilot (F-4, F-16) helping win the Cold War by working with NATO allies to provide a solid front against the Warsaw Pact. He also helped manage the development of a highly successful, one-of-a-kind satellite to measure spacecraft charging phenomena.
Col. Chapman’s crowning achievement was to lead the agency in charge of joint policies for recovery of prisoners and evaders in war, assisting in the repatriation of CWO Hall from Korea and Capt. O’Grady from Bosnia.
