    John Victor Dallin was born 1/16/1897 in Bristol, England. He was a graduate of School of Military Aeronautics, Oxford, England, as a member of Canadian Expeditionary Forces, becoming a pilot at age 17, flying 4 years combat in Royal Air Corps. In 1919 he moved to Philadelphia, becoming a pioneer in aerial photography in U.S., Canada and Cuba, forming his company “Dallin Aerial Surveys”. He was the first manager of Philadelphia International Airport and Commanding Officer of 103rd Observation Squadron Penna. National Guard, retiring in 1973 to Southern Pines, NC, where he died 10/10/2001 at age 94.
