    Kester E Hibbitts (1932-1993) served in the U. S. Navy as an Aviation Electrician on the USS Kearsarge (CV-33) from 1952-1956 during the Korean War.
    After service, he briefly worked for Chrysler Missile Operations in Detroit, Michigan before permanently relocating to Alexandria, VA. During the late 1950s, he worked as an Electronics Technician for Melpar, Inc. and Emerson Research Laboratories.
    Kester finished his career at Litton Amecom in College Park, MD, where he spent thirty years specializing in Electronic Warfare Systems. As an Associate Engineer at Litton, he worked on detection, Surveillance and reconnaissance systems for aircraft such as the E2-C, Hawkeye, EA6B Prowler ADVCAP, EF-111 ADVCAP and E3-A. He also participated in the development of the Apollo Command Module.
    Kester retired from Litton in 1992.
