    Born Aug. 10, 1917 in Borden, IN. BSEE Purdue in 1940. MSAE Princeton Univ. 1951. Commissioned Army Air Corp in 1941 at Chanute Field. Flight Training Class 44B. Served as Deputy Wing Commander on Tinian in 313 Bomb Wing and Clark Field, P.I. And Guam, North field. Was Bomber Test Pilot at Wright Patterson, OH. Air War College Class 1954. Received Distinguished Flying Cross, Legion of Merit. Member of Dandelions. Married Martha Doherty in 1942, one daughter Kathleen, four sons David, Stephen, Richard and Robert. Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Died Oct. 16, 2000. Buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
