Honored by:
Col. Minchew destroyed seven Germans during WWII and is recognized as an American fighter air ace, He also flew in Korea and Vietnam. He has the DFC with seven Oak Leaf Clusters, the Silver Star, an Air Medal with nine clusters and the Commendation Medal. He was commissioned in November 1942 and retired in April 1970. During WWII he was stationed with the 355th fighter Group at Steeple Morden, England.
