Honored by:

Flew thirty missions as a B-17 pilot over Germany in 1943-44. Initiated the US satellite program in October 1954. Was a member of the Reconnaissance Working Group in 1953-54 which initiated the Open Skies Policy approved by President Eisenhower and still our national policy.
