Pilot Training in PT-17 from May 1943 - Dec 1945, Napier Fld AL. Received Combat training at Punta Gorda, Fl from Jan 1944 - Mar 1944 and TAC Recon Training at Key Fld, Miss from Mar 1944-Jun 1944. Served with 15 TAC Recon and 162 TAC Recon from Jun 1944-Jun 1945 with 103 Aerial Missions and 295 Combat Hours in F-6 Mustang. Highest, decoration, DFC 24 Jul 1945. Served in the AF Reserves from Nov 1945 until retirement Jun 1976 as Colonel, mostly as Senior Pilot, Sq Cmdr and Chief of Maint. Recalled to Active Duty Jul 1951-Oct 1952, served in 59th Escort Fighter Sq, Europe and as Fighter Pilot, 58th Fighter Sq, flying F-84s in Korea. Some of-the A/C flown during career: VC-4 Gliders, AT-6, B-13, B-15, T-34, P-51, A-36, F-86H, B-17, B-26, P-80, T-33, T-28, F-94, SA-16, C-46, C-47, C-119, C-124, & C-141
