    After twenty five years, Colonel Brokovich retired from the United States Army as a Senior Army Aviator with over 3000 flying hours in fourteen types of Army aircraft, both helicopter and fixed wing. About 1700 of those flying hours were in combat. He considered himself as an attack helicopter pilot as he flew UH-1B and UH-1C gunships his first tour and AH-1Gs his second tour. During his two tours in Vietnam, Colonel Brokovich was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action and 29 Air Medals, two for Valor. He finished his second tour in Vietnam as a Commander of a helicopter unit of twenty helicopters.

    After his retirement from the Army, he was a registered lobbyist in the Washington, DC area for Unisys, Loral, Lockheed Martin, and United Space Alliance. His portfolio included numerous aviation and aerospace programs to include the B-2 bomber, P-3 Modernization, NEXRAD Weather Radar System, Air Traffic Control Systems, and the Space Shuttle. His last assignment was as the principal lobbyist for the Space Shuttle program to include Shuttle Upgrades and returning the Shuttle to flight after the crash of Columbia.

    He made significant contributions to both the aviation and aerospace fields during his entire forty two year working career.
