    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Col. Peter Henry Sera

Peter Sera was born in New York City. The son of Enrique Seraballs and Margarita Munoz, Colonel Sera kept his father's love for flight alive with extensive tours of duty in Marine Corps Aviation, intelligence and special weapons delivery during the Cold War-Vietnam period, and later in the 90's, his participation in the space program with NASA Space Station Freedom.
Colonel Sera is a graduate of Fordham University (1960), and the US Marine Corps Command & Staff. He pursued graduate studies at Seton Hall University between 1969 and 1972.
He retired from the Marine Corps after 37 years of service in 1997. Colonel Sera also had a dual business career in the computer, marketing, telecommunications, and consulting sectors with IBM, the Bell System, National Lead Co., Ryder Systems, and SBS/Satellite Business Systems.
Between 1980 and 1986, Colonel Sera was involved at SBS in the planning and implementation of a network of over 20 satellite earth stations. While there, he worked with the NASA payload astronauts to place communications satellites into orbit, thereby maintaining the link with flight and space started a generation earlier by his father. The Colonel's sons and grandchildren are continuing the tradition.
