    Ray Lowman completed initial entry US Army Rotary Wing training with Warrant Officer Rotary-Wing Aviator Course (WORWAC) 67-13. He served as a pilot, aircraft commander, instructor pilot, and standardization instructor pilot with the 61st Assault Helicopter Company, A Company, 4th Aviation Battalion, and 120th Assault Helicopter Company in the Republic of Vietnam.

    He later served as the US Army Product Manager for Fixed-Wing Aircraft during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Strike in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq with responsibility for all Army fixed-wing aircraft in the theater.

    He completed his military service as the Joint Unmanned Aerial Vehicle -- Short Range Project Manager. He retains FAA commercial pilot ratings in rotorcraft, helicopter, instruments and airplane, single-engine land, multi-engine land with instrument ratings.
