    Honored by:

Colonel Robert C. Greene, US Army Reserve (Retired) received his initial pilot's certificate in New Hampshire in 1933. During military service in Burma in World War II he was placed on orders to fly the Stinson L-5 light plane in the performance of his duties as an intelligence officer. His duties required that he make regular flights over heavy jungle and mountainous terrain in Northern Burma, operating out of rough airstrips, for a two year period. In retirement, he enjoyed many years as an active private pilot. (Submitted by the children of Col. Robert Cushing Green in honor of his ninety-fourth birthday.)
