    Colonel Robert Pershing Green, Jr. MD, USAF, MC, FX was born to be a flyer in the USAF on 27 Nov. 2946, raised in the USAF and served in the USAF from March 1970 to September 1992. He was an ICBM Crew Commander (4.5 years), Flight Surgeon (Over 500 Hours, and Chief of Aerospace Ophthalmology USAF (five years). He has an AV, MA, and MD degrees. Colonel Green is the author or co-author of 24 publications and has made 51 scientific presentations. Moth these concern aeromedical issues in USAF flyers. He was the lead author of the first book on the Medical Management of Combat Laser Eye Injuries. This annual was used by all US services and our allies during the Gulf War.
