    Born June 25, 1923 in Camden, Alabama; completed school there in 1940. Entered Auburn University, enlisted in US Army Reserve for Advanced ROTC at Auburn. Inducted to active duty Apr '43. Entered Field Artillery School at Ft. Sill, OK, July 1943; Commissioned as 2nd Lt., Field Artillery, in Nov '43. Schools and assignments follow:

    Awards: Silver Star and Air Medal and Pres. Unit Citation Apr '45; Meritorious Service Medal Oct '74; Field Artillery OCS Hall of Fame, 1997.

    Industry/Career: Graduate, Auburn University, Aug '47 BS Aeronautical Engineering. Employed as Flight Test Engineer Consolidated Aircraft Co., Sept '47 - Apr '93. (The company later became Convair, General Dynamics, Lockheed). 45 years, Flight Test Engineering, with assignments in B-36, B-58, F-111, and F-16 flight test programs.

    Completed TCU Exec Devi Mgt of Aerospace Business. His assignments included "Base Manager" for off-site flight test programs at Eglin AFB, FL; Edwards AFB, CA; Kirtland AFB, NM. Assigned to teams demonstrating the F-16 in Europe, Canada, Australia, and the USA. Retired as Engineering Program Mgr., Flight Test Dept. 1993. Flight Testing experience included 600 flight hours aboard B-36 flight test aircraft. Military flight status, Army Aviator '45 to '74.
