Served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Chuck was wounded twice at Kings Outpost. He saw action in Chorwon, Kumhwa, Pork Chop Hill, Sniper Ridge, Punch Bowl, Triangle Hill and Iron Triangle. Sidney "Chuck" Sterchele's untiring devotion to veterans' issues resulted in hundreds of hours in meetings, with VA representatives, and political figures in Orlando to Tallahassee, to Washington, D.C. His goals were simple - remember every veteran, respect and appreciate their sacrifices.
