    Veteran of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Served in the infantry in World War II; flew two night combat tours in Korea in the F-94B (Lockheed Starfire) all-weather fighter and the RB-29A (Superfortress) bomber (four battle stars); served as a U.S. Air Force Reserve staff intelligence officer during the Vietnam War. Graduate of the American University with associate of arts, bachelor of science and a master of arts degrees; master of science from the California State University Hayward; doctorate of education from Northcentral University; academic instructor course (with distinction) from the Air War College; Industrial College of the Armed Forces; and the Federal Emergency Management Agency Staff College. Life member of the Air Force Association; national director and life member, Korean War Veterans Association; life member of Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign War. Listed in Who's Who in America.
