This honor is being presented to Colleen for her 21st Birthday, February 15, 2004. Colleen has been deeply interested in space exploration since she was a child. She has pursued those interests at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she is majoring in Aeronautics and Astronautics. She is a member of the Air Force ROTC at MIT. She recently made her first solo flight. She also worked with the Smithsonian Air and Space History Department in preparations for the opening of the Udvar-Hazy Center.
