    Served in the U.S. Army Air Force 1943 - 1947.
    Served in the U.S. Air Force 1947 - 1983. Began service as a Private and became an aircraft mechanic. Completed B-29 Flight Engineers School and ended WWII as a Sgt. Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1951. Then became a rated Aircraft Observer-Aircraft Performance Engineer. Completed USAF pilot training and flew various transport aircraft.
    Graduated from Medical School. Later became a rate Flight Surgeon. Awarded B.S., M.S., and M.D. degrees. Was a senior Aviation Medical Examiner for the FAA. Was a pioneer in the transportation of patients by air through the company he founded, Fromhagen Aviation. He held an Air Transport Pilot license and also was a certified mechanic and inspector.
