Honored by:
Col. Pat M. Stevens III
Born in California 17 January 1929. Graduated U. S, Military Academy 1940 Artillery Officer. In Africa in 1942-1943 Aide de Camp to General Eisenhower. Later at the request of Gen. Eisenhower, sent to command an automatic weapons antiaircraft battalion. In Alsace in January, 1945 this was the only one in WWII to shoot down one of our P-51s. All hell broke loose because of who the pilot was. As the investigating officer, I found out that the pilot of the P-51 was German in a reconstituted U. S. Army Air Corps aircraft.
Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
