    1905- Born November 23 at Pilger, Nebraska.
    1924-1926- Attended Wayne State College.
    1926-1928- Attended University of Nebraska.
    1928- 1929- Air Corps Flying School, March Field, California.
    1928- Solo in Consolidated PT-1 airplane April 9 at March Field.
    1929- Trained at Kelly Field, Texas. There were only about 1000 officers in the Air Corp at that time and most were 2nd Lt. (Aircraft were PT-1, N-150, PT-3, Wright Whirlwind, OH-4 Liberator). February 25, graduated at Kelly Field, Texas as a
    1st Lt. and joined a Pursuit Group.
    1929- 1933: at Selfridge Field, Michigan.
    1929- Flew for General Tire and Rubber Company from August to November that year.
    1930- November 28 married Viola A. Israelson in Hartington, Nebraska.
    1933- Flying for Pennsylvania Airlines until October 1942.
    1934- Flying Air Mail for Air Corp under Pennsylvania Airline until the program was cancelled in May 1934 when the Airlines were licensed to carry the mail on scheduled flights.
    1934- Received Air Transport Rating June 14.
    1934- Flying for Pennsylvania Airlines until October 1942 out of Cleveland, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan.
    1939- Son John Stephen born April 9th.
    1940- Son David Alan born August 16th.
    1942-1945: Joined USAF in October as a 1st Lt. in Office of Flying Safety and rose to the rank of Colonel. Stationed in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Left service October 1945.
    1944- Daughter Carolyn Elizabeth (Voss) born February 3rd.
    1945- Rejoined Pennsylvania Central Airline in October as Chief Pilot, Western Division at Washington National Airport. Lived in Arlington, Virginia.
    1946-1961: Was made System Chief Pilot and then Director of Flying. Pennsylvania Central Airline was renamed Capital Airlines during that time. (Aircraft were DC-4, Constellation and Vickers Viscount).
    1961- After June merger of Capital Airlines with United Airlines was Assistant to Senior Vice President of Flight Operations for United Airlines in Chicago, IL.
    1969- Retired on January 1 in Chicago, Illinois.
    1970- Resided in Sun City Center, Florida with his wife Viola. 1985- Died July 24 at Sun City Center, Florida.
