Captain Edwards served in the Aviation Branch of the U.S. Army with great distinction during Viet Nam. For his efforts he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. After leaving the Army he received his Masters in Business Administration in Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He then joined the administration of the University and developed and directed its off-campus education program. This program has branches in the United States and Europe. Tom developed this first rate program which trained many students in aviation management. Throughout his life Tom was devoted to furthering Aviation through education. He was beloved by his students and associates at the University and his many friends. He was a bright star in our lives, a dear friend of aviation and he is greatly missed.
