Cynthia Jeffrey Crawford was born in Southern California. An architectural designer by trade, took up flying in her thirties. She joined the California wing of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) flying countless search and rescue missions plus medical mercy flights. In addition to the missions she became in charge of maintenance for all of the state’s CAP aircraft. Moved to New Mexico for a few years where she dealt in real estate and owned a ranch with an airstrip. She retired to a lake resort in Eastern Tennessee that has its own airport.
