    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

The Dallas P. Hutchison family has been residents of Fairfax County for 115 years. While plowing the fields in 1962, Dallas Hutchison scarcely glanced at the jet that swooped low over his head coming in for a landing at near-by Dulles Airport.
The Hutchison farm consisted of 125 acres and was just two miles south of the North-South runway and Chantilly, Virginia was spoken of as "no-man's land" when the airport plans were first revealed.
The 125 acres of rolling land that lended itself to raising pasture and grain have given way to fast-food restaurants, a major hotel, and the Dulles Expo Center. The legacy of the Hutchison family will continue for generations.
