    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

I held a silent interest in space from the young age of eight after watching a meteor shower that happened to be bright enough for me to see in Roseville, CA. Like many interested in spaceflight, I wanted to become an astronaut but early in college discovered I would never be able to for health reasons. In 2013-2014 I participated in an internship with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) of Pasadena, CA for the National Community College for Aerospace Scholars (a scholarship program held by the JPL that involved designing and submitting a mock proposal for a rover mission to mars). I shortly returned to the JPL as a Soil Composition Analyst and Data Miner for the Curiosity rover, Maven satellite, and Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) satellite on Mars from 2014-2016. In late 2017 I led a team to contribute blueprints for sample collection tools astronauts may use on future missions on Mars, comets, and asteroids. Currently I live in northeastern California away from most opportunities, starting a new life and family. I intend to change my direction into Geographic Information Systems and aid in globe-mapping for NASA and or the private sector from home. The first picture is of me on mid-deck airlock before and after the decommission the Atlantis Crew Module around 2012 before being shipped, then again at it's museum display around 2015 at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. The second is me at the front desk of the JPL 2014. Third is of me in the command center before work at the JPL 2014, although most of my work on site was at the Mars Test Bed. Please use whichever works best for your purposes; if I must choose then the first photo should work well enough.
