Graduated as a Naval Aviator at Corpus Christi, Texas, June 26, 1943. Married in chapel on base after graduation ceremony. Served in Pacific Theatre, WWII. Flew Stearman N2S-5 Kaydet, Corsair gull wing and other aircraft. Private pilot's license during the 1970s.
