Darren was a young friend of mine (and so many others) who was an aspiring career aviator. He obtained his single-engine land private pilot rating, then single-engine sea rating. He was working on his instrument rating when he was 19. He was employed at Kenmore Air Harbor, WA (a seaplane base). On 5 April 1986 he died in an accident, a collision over Lake Washington shortly after take-off from the Air Harbor base.

I am happy to support the building of the new museum even if only in this small way, but I have been unemployed.
