I was a member of USAF Pilot Training Class 57-I. After completing Jet School at Webb AFB in February 1957, I trained in F-86D/L at Perrin. I subsequently flew F-86Ds with the 514th FIS at RAF Station Manston, England. When that Base Closed in April 1958, I was reassigned to the 513th FIS at Phalsbourg AFB in France. I left the Air Force in 1959 and became a physician. Flying in the USAF was one of the peak experiences of my life.
