    Born 13 July 1941, died 10 July 2000.

    Graduated from University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering degree in 1963.

    He spent his entire professional career of 36 years at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Carderock, MD. He retired from Civil Service in October 1999.

    Among his accomplishments, he contributed to the invention and patenting of the thrust deflector and force augmenter for the Navy Department. He also contributed a photo of the twin-engine version of the deHavilland DH-4B to the National Air and Space Museum.

    His other interests were stamp collecting and baseball cards. He was very active in both hobbies as well as his interest in air and space. His vision continues to soar.
