Mr. David Kent Smith is a special education teacher in Mojave California. Mr. Smith pursued a degree in political science and certification as a special education teacher after serving a tour in the Air Force Intelligence Service as a Russian Language expert. He also, both as a service member and as a civilian, served as an assistant to the Secret Service while protecting the president. Mr. Smith led his students and other youth groups in learning experiences involving aerospace topics such as astronomy and remotely controlled planetary explorers. He has also had a long time interest in preserving aviation and space exploration history.
