    David A. Rossi was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer for SPACEHAB, Inc., in January 1998. In this capacity, Mr. Rossi's responsibilities encompass overall operational, business, and marketing activities for the publicly-traded company. Additionally, he serves as the primary contact with key NASA and international space agency executives, providing support to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors in executing all strategic decisions, and managing the activities of the SPACEHAB Executive Team.
    Previously, Mr. Rossi served as the Company's Senior Vice President, Business Development since joining the Company in February 1991. As Senior Vice President, he was responsible for directing all new business development activities, identifying acquisition and joint-venture candidates, overseeing government relations activities and directing the development of SPACEHAB's corporate business plan.
    Mr. Rossi began his career in the aerospace industry as an intern at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas while in graduate school. He then spent eight years at Orbital Sciences Corporation (OSC) as a member of the Senior Management Team, including positions as Director of Finance and Director of Business development.
    Mr. Rossi holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. Rossi is a member of numerous trade and industry organizations and patent holder of the Universal Communications System for Space Applications. Mr. Rossi was elected to the SPACEHAB, Inc. Board of Directors in February 2000.
