Mr. Dennis Kaskovich Jr.

Dennis J. Kaskovich Sr. was born 09 Aug 1952 in Chicago, Ill. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 18 to pursue the warrant officer flight program. After finishing recruit training, Mr. Kaskovich Sr. begin basic rotor wing flight training at Ft Wolter, TX. in 1970. Upon graduation of flight school, Mr. Kaskovich Sr. received his warrant and was assigned to fly the UH-1 Huey and OH-58 Kiowa. Mr. Kaskovich Sr. served in South Korea and was the recipient of a humanitarian service award by the South Korean government for his efforts in rescuing South Korean flood victims in 1971. While in the Army, Mr. Kaskovich Sr. earned his fixed wing rating and continued to pursue flying in his free time as well as for his country. Finishing his active service in 1975, Mr. Kaskovich Sr. transferred to the Texas Air National Guard where he continued to fly the UH-1 Huey. In his civilian career, Mr. Kaskovich Sr. progressed from single engine prop to jet aircraft, and within a very short time had established himself as a flight instructor in both fixed wing and rotor wing. In 1984, Mr. Kaskovich Sr. joined the flight department of International Business Machines and continues to fly for them to this day. Currently, he is captain of the Sikorsky S-76 and Dassault Falcon aircraft. Mr. Kaskovich Sr. is also the training officer for the flight department. Mr. Kaskovich is an avid flight historian with a deep interest in WW II air history, with a particular interest in P-38s and the 8th Air Force. He currently lives in Bethel, CT and still loves to fly.
