    DIANNE GRACE RECKER (September 19, 1959 - ):

Only daughter of James T. Becker and Patti Jean McCracken Becker. Trained in Missouri at Poplar Bluff (Earl Fields) Airport, private license # 486 54 6573 in 1980. Has flown to FL, KS, KY, MA, NM, OH, Rl and TX; also Toronto, Canada.
Flying was a part of childhood. Until my brother and I couldn't fit in the same seatbelt together, our family of five always rented a four-seater Cessna. When I was 11, we bought 3791 W, the Cherokee Six.
You've got to appreciate your own grass strip that doubles as a cow pasture, especially if you've helped to pick up the rocks.
Our family vacations took us far to visit family - from New York to California, even to Canada and Guatemala. I spent time in the co-pilot's seat only when my older brother would relinquish it. When I was 19, The minister at my church, a Certified Flight Instructor, offered me flying lessons. I couldn't refuse. With 16 hours in my first month, I soloed and passed the written test 2 weeks later. I gathered enough crosscountry hours the next summer, and got my license two months before I turned 21.
So a family tradition continues as I make trips to visit friends and family across the United States, from Florida to Colorado, from New York to Texas. Blue skies and the Cherokee Six. I love to fly. But I also love bringing her back home to the farm grass strip.
