    Dollard M. House Jr. honored himself and the Aviation Industry with a long and distinguished career as a Pilot and Aeronautical Engineer. He attended Ohio State University and The Curtiss-Wright Technical Institute and obtained a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering. While attending Ohio State University, he began flight lessons at Lunken Airport and obtained a pilot license in 1937 in a 1927 Taylor Cub. He began working for the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation in 1941. His career spanned 35 years and included engineering projects on such aircraft as: The P38 Lightening, The Constellation Model 649, the F80, the F94, and the F104 Starfighter. He also was involved in the re-engineering of the Lockheed Vega from a military application to a corporate configuration, and the AH56 Cheyenne Helicopter, He worked within the Burbank and Palmdale Skunk Works on the design team with Kelly Johnson where many of Lockheed's military application aircraft were built in secrecy. In his retirement years he was a member of the P38 Lightening National Association and helped with the rebuilding of a P38 Lightening at Chino Airport where many vintage Warbirds are rebuilt and flown. He left behind two sons and 3 grandchildren.
