Donald C. Latterell is so passionate about aviation that he opens the "hangar" doors of opportunity to those who display a "hairline" crack of interest in flying. He is always quick to volunteer his time and equipment to individuals who aspire to become a pilot. He has a gift for rebuilding, repairing, and flying airplanes. He is an aviation mentor to his family and his friends. If you can't find him at home, then you will definitely find him at the airport either flying or in the "toybox" having a Heineken, after hours of course.

I have been blessed with his presence in my life. He has been the wind beneath my wings. He introduced aviation into my life at a young age and mentored me through my private pilot license. His support has helped me succeed through all of the ratings I have earned thus far. He commonly makes the statement "You're the best" to me but what he may not realize is that I simply adore him and I strive to make him proud of me. Not only did he introduce flight to me but he introduced many qualities that come with learning how to fly, like confidence, determination, goals, and work ethic. He may not have an abundant amount of patience, but he most certainly has an enormous amount of love to share and is most unselfish when it comes to helping others succeed and meet their goals.
