    Donald Kent Etter enlisted in the United States Air Force on November 29,1950, during the time of the Korean War. He did his Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, followed by Gunnery Training at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, CO, where he learned to man electronically operated turret systems. Following the completion of his training, Kent (as he was called by family and friends back home) was stationed at Carswell Air Force Base in Ft. Worth, TX. There he was assigned as a gunner on a B-36 Bomber, also known as "The Peacemaker". He served his country faithfully until his honorable discharge on November 28,1954. Throughout his life Kent has continued to be a loyal American and has steadfastly supported our troops in their endeavors.
