Born and raised a Connecticut Yankee, moved to Arizona in 1980 to work for Sperry Fight Systems in Phoenix (Deer Valley) Arizona. Worked on various avionics and electronic systems including Electromechanical Primary Flight Indicators for commercial aircraft, the Defense B-52 MFD TAF retrofit program and the Space Shuttle MDM program as a Failure Analyst.

In 1982 joined M/A-COM Active Assemblies Division in Tempe, AZ as a VCO and Manufacturing Engineer on complex hybrid assemblies for electronic counter measures. This included the VCO Exciter for the AN/ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System on the Navy’s EA-6B Prowler. Other programs were the defensive countermeasures for the B1B AN/ALQ 161.

In 1988 joined Honeywell Business and General Aviation division in Glendale AZ working with RT-800 weather radar, Primus 650 weather radar, TCAS, Primus Radio, Satcom and Primus Epic Integrated Avionics System (glass cockpit displays) for Embraer, Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault and Cessna Business jets as a component engineer.

In 2005, moved to Crane Aerospace and Electronics in manufacturing engineering working on the Patriot Missile program, EA-6B ICAPIII and the F-16 APX-113 IFF.

In 2007 joined Honeywell International Defense and Space Electronics Division in Albuquerque, NM as a Supplier Quality Engineer for the Integrated Supply Chain. Worked on all major programs including V-22, F-15, F16, F-18 glass cockpit flight display systems and Class 1 MAV unmanned aerial vehicles.

In 2008/current joined ATK Alliant Techsystems, Integrated Weapons Systems Division in Mesa, AZ as a Mission Assurance Engineer producing Bushmaster Chain Gun and Cannon systems for the Apache AH-64D, Bradley Fighting Vehicle, Marine Corp’s LAV-25 eight-wheeled amphibious reconnaissance vehicle, Naval/Marine Landing Platform Dock (LPD), and the MC-130W "Combat Wombat"among others. This includes the MK44, M242, M230LF families of Bushmaster Chain Guns and Cannons.

My favorite sport is enjoying the numerous air shows here in Arizona while my favorite aircraft is the F-104 Starfighter from Kelley Johnson’s Skunkworks.

When I first arrived in Phoenix, Luke AFB was still hosting the training of the German Luftwaffe and they would put on quite a show while we would be fishing early in the morning at Lake Pleasant north of Luke. We would have more than one ‘hotdog’ pilot and his wing man come screaming down the lake with that famous F-104 howl.

I am a member of the Commemorative Air Force and Sponsoring Member of the USO.
