Dr. Aaron Kanti Das Gupta Ph.D, P.E. AFAIAA was born in India November 20, 1043 and completed B. Tech (Hons) at the Indian Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, June 1963. He immigrated to Canada in 1965 and completed M.S.M.E. at the Tech Univ. of Nova Scotia, Halifax, Canada in 1968, Ph.D. at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg, VA in 1975.
He worked as consultant to Canadian Marconi Ltd., Montreal and iron Ore Company in Schefferville, Quebec and Whittaker AMTD in Torrance, CA. Since 1975 he has been a Structural Dynamicist in Terminal Effects Division at the Army Research Lab, Aberdeen, MD. He received best paper awards from ASME, Computer Engg. Div. & NGS (India). He is Associate Editor Int. J. Comp. Appl. in Tech.
