Born 29 August 1939 in the former Soviet Union. Since 1949 lives in the United States. Graduated from Rutgers University, Indiana University, and a PhD from Bryn Mawr. Has worked at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center for the Apollo-Soyuz test project in 1975 as an interpreter-negotiator.
