Dr. Desineni Subbaram Naidu was born and educated in India. He obtained his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Dr. Naidu was awarded National Research Council Senior Associateship during 1985 and 1986 to conduct research on guidance and control for aeroassisted orbital transfer at NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, Virginia and during 1998-99 to conduct research on guidance and control strategies for hypersonic vehicles at US Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He has been Professor (since 1990) and Coordinator (since 1997) of Electrical Engineering, Director (since 1998) of Measurement and Control Engineering Research Center and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies (since 1998) at Idaho State University, Pocatello, Idaho. Professor Naidu is a Fellow of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and Associate Fellow of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
