    Pioneer during 1950's/1960's in thermal engineering of heat shields for missiles and thermal control systems for spacecraft. Developed thermal control systems for two lunar-based experiments in the Apollo Program. Managed numerous mechanical engineering organizations performing research and developing various government and commercial spacecraft. Proposal Manager for programs to develop specialty hardware and entire spacecraft. Executive Director for development of GOES I, J, K, L, M weather satellites for NASA/NOAA, and for development of electrical power subsystem hardware for the International Space Station. Concluded career managing advanced design studies for high-powered communications spacecraft. Retired in January 1998.
