    Grew up on a farm near Avoca, Nebraska. In December, 1989 I received a B.S. in Math and Physics, with a minor in German. Performed research at the Physikalisches Institut: University of Bonn in West Germany during the summer of 1989. In August, 1991, I received a M.S. in Astrophysics from an off-campus George Washington University program (JIAFS), located at NASA Langley Research Center. Masters Thesis, “Lifetimes of Lunar Satellite Orbits”, later published as NASA Technical Paper 3394. In August, 1997, I received a PhD in Physics from the University of Colorado-Boulder (JILA) dissertation “Exploration of the Two-Electron Continuum Problem Using R-Matrix Methods”. In September, 1997 I accepted a job as a senior member of the technical staff in the Astrodynamics Department of the Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, California, providing engineering support for the U.S. Air Force space program.
