Honored by:

Dr. Semel served in the U. S. Coast Guard during the period 1942-1946 and was honorably discharged after achieving the rank of ARM 1C. Dr. Semel served on many types of aircraft used in anti-submarine and air-sea rescue missions. He is especially enthusiastic of his service on board the PBY-5A and the PBM,
