    Born January 24, 1922, died April 13, 1995.

    Dr Bodfish started flight training in 1938 at the age of 16.

    Enlisted in the Army Air Corps in May 1942. Achieved his fighter pilot's rating in August 1943. He was a P-51 pilot and part of the 20th Air Force, 7th Fighter Command, 506th Fighter Group, 458th Fighter Squadron stationed on Iwo Jima during the months of April 1945 to November 1945.

    Air Force Reserve 1946-1953. Recommissioned Major (Medical Corps).

    Air Force Reserve 1968; Flight Medical Officer 1970; Chief, Aeromedical Services, 24th Medical Service Squadron, March AFB, CA 1968-1972.

    Flight experiences: P-51, P-39, P-40, P-38, P-47, B-25, B-24, PT-17, AT-6, BT-13.
