    Dr. Robert J. (Bob) Ravera began his aviation career in the summer of 1957, working between semesters at Grumman Aircraft as an apprentice engineer on the production of the F-11F (Tiger). Upon receiving his MS degree in 1962, Bob continued at Grumman working on flutter problems associated with the A-6 and Gulfstream 1 aircraft. Bob joined Bellcomm in 1968 and was involved in a number of key studies supporting NASA's Skylab program. He joined the Department of Transportation in 1975 and managed FAA programs as Deputy Director of the Volpe Transportation Systems Center. Bob is now Vice President of the MITRE Corporation's Center for Advanced Aviation System Development, and is actively supporting air traffic management programs for the FAA and for aviation authorities around the world. He has a BS degree from Pratt institute and MS and PhD degrees from Lehigh University.
