Dr. Roop N. Gupta has made outstanding contributions to the field of aerospace science and education. He is an internationally renowned high-temperature fluid dynamicist, who has left a distinct mark on several pioneering U.S. and NASA’s aerospace programs.
These programs include various aerospace vehicles ranging from the space shuttle to the Mars Pathfinder planetary probe. Dr. Gupta has received numerous NASA awards as well as other recognitions for his outstanding contributions. Also, some of his outstanding students have gone onto make their own lasting contributions. He is a Fellow of ASME.
