    Dr. Sheila L. Chamberlain, JD grew up in West Germany and graduated from Fort Knox High School, Fort Knox,Kentucky. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Spelman College, M.P.A/,Post Graduate Studies, University of Oklahoma, J.D. , University Of Miami School of Law, (to name a few),

    She is Distinguished Military Graduate, General George C. Marshall Award Winner, Internships with the United Nations and the United States Senate, Public Affairs/ Press Secretary, former newspaper owner/ Documentary Filmmaker, Former Political Appointee ( Palm Beach, FL) and Former Chief of Staff to two Florida State Senators, First African American Woman to run for County Commissioner in the Florida Keys and a Congressional local political appointee on Veterans Affairs. (to name a few). She Always Helps Everyone the best she can.

    Chamberlain became the United States Army's First African American Woman Combat Intelligence Aviator/Pilot and has been a Commercial Instrument Rated Pilot since 1985.

    She served during the Grenada and Panama Invasions,and is a Persian Gulf War Veteran. She served: Four hardship tours in South Korea and is credited with streamlining all Combat Aviation Intelligence in the entire Region; she was a Special Intell/Ops Reconnaissance Chief in Latin America; Threat Aviation Officer, credited with her work on the now AH-64 Apache Longbow, Comanche aircraft, V-22 (before Marines/Navy was given the project), Worldwide Close Combat Heavy Mission Area Wargamer and Material Acquisition and Author of several Army Aviation articles and writings. A Pioneer, she rewrote the US Army's Air Traffic Control Force Modernization Plan in the early 1990's. Prior to leaving the Army, she went before select members of the US Congressional Armed Service Committee on why women should fly in combat. " . . . because we have already been doing it!" One year later the Department of Defense FINALLY declared that women would be allowed to fly combat aviation aircraft throughout all the United States Armed Forces.

    Dr. Chamberlain has received numerous honors, awards of International and National recognition. She is a National Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) Aviation Hall of Fame Pioneer and Inductee and the First Woman Pilot elected to the National Tuskegee Airmen, Incorporated as its National Parliamentarian. Her cousins were/are, the Famous LTC (ret.) Luke Weathers, Jr.., who was a Documented Original Tuskegee Airmen (DOTA), REDTAIL. Pilot and cousin of Pastor Wheeler Parker,Jr. and Emmett Till, whose lynching/murder sparked the Civil Rights Movement in 1955. Her mentor was Willa Brown Chappell, historical American Aviatrix and the First African American Woman to run for United States Representative in the US Congress.

    She is the former President of the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP), South Florida Chapter (The only Chapter OBAP has ever had), The Official National Chair for the 100th Anniversary of Bessie Coleman earning her Pilot License (1921-2021), a Charter member and Senior Advisor to Sisters of the Skies, Inc. and President of the Historic Los Angeles Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, Incorporated to name a few Aviation Contributions.

    Dr. Chamberlain has been Active in Aviation for over 46 plus years and in the South Florida Community for over 28 years. A member of many local, Worldwide organizations/boards, she continues to mentor those who seek careers in the Aviation and Aerospace industry and other professions. Her name is in the Congressional Records twice. A true American SHERO!
